THE SPIRIT BEHIND POLITACALLY CORRECT LANGUAGE
Prov 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
POLITACALLY CORRECT Defined: Policies, or Behavior seen as seeking to minimize offense to gender, racial, cultural, disabled, aged or other identity groups.
The key to understanding politically correct language is in it’s origin from what I see, is that it has in it, several concerns for the body of christ.
1. It is Social reprogramming by a certain group in society to control the word’s and thought of a generation.
2. I see it as a social form of mind control with good intent and all of it is not evil but it’s true colors show up when it starts redefining what the word of God call’s things.
3. It is a tool of those who are exposing alternative lifestyles as well.
Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isa 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
The term "politically incorrect" is used to refer to language or ideas that may cause offense or that are unconstrained by orthodoxy. THE CHURCH.
· Political correct language is designed to destroy or correct the doctrine, definitions or meanings of things believed and taught by the church.
· The key to understanding this is the word Orthodoxy in its definition.
The word orthodox, from Greek orthodoxos "having the right opinion," from
orthos ("right, true, straight") +
doxa ("opinion, praise", related to dokein, "thinking"),
[1] is typically used to mean adhering to the accepted or traditional and established faith, especially in religion.
· So politically correct language is in direct opposition to the Gospel and the Christian Faith.
3. It smells of communism and socialism, as I will explain.
2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Tim 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
RUTH PERRY TRACES POLITACALLY CORRECT LANGUAGE TO COMMUNISM
Ruth Sando Fahnbulleh Perry (born 1939) was Chairwoman of the Council of State of Liberia from September 3 1996 until August, 2 1997,
Mao Zedong - 1st Chairman of the Communist Party of China – Used Mind Control over The Population and censor them. MOST ALL RELIGION WAS REPLACED BY POLITICS = THE STATE BECAME GOD.
Ruth Perry traces the term back to Mao's Little Red Book.
During the Chinese Cultural Revolution, there was a book that had as much power as the Bible, and in some situations, even more. Mao's Little Red Book
According to Perry, the term (politely correct language) was later adopted by the radical left in the 1960s.
In the 1990s, because of the term's association with radical politics and communist censorship, it was used by the political right in the United States to try to discredit the Old and New Left Wing.
Right-wing indicated support for the monarchy, the clergy and the aristocracy.
Left-wing began to be used to refer to socialism, communism
LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THE TRUE NATURE OF PC LANGUAGE
2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Tim 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Tim 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2 Tim 4:3-5 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 1. TOLERANCE Defined: The capacity for or the practice of recognizing and respecting the beliefs or practices of others.
· This would be great if it meant the same for your Christian faith respected the same way. Other faiths are.
2. For instance Christmas is a legal holiday and was made a legal holiday in order to celebrate the birth of Christ.
It is now, however, politically incorrect to say Merry Christmas because you might insult non Christians and atheists. We are told that the correct greeting is now Happy Holidays.
3. Happy Thanksgiving is now Happy Turkey Day (don't laugh I recieved several Happy Turkey Day cards from young nieces and nephews last Thanksgiving, all written in school.).
4. When my wife and I give our Grandson a Valentine card and he advises me that his teacher says that it should be a Friend's Day card because St. Valentine is a religious symbol and saying Valentine's Day can be insulting to other people
5. Don't say "under God" when saying the Pledge of Allegiance, because you might make an Atheist uncomfortable and then the Atheist might sue.
6. Don't call God a him, because certain women will be angered. The fact that no one has ever actually seen God and the fact that no one really knows if God is a he, she or it, doesn't matter. The fact that Christ said that God was his Father, doesn't matter.
OXFORD University Press has put out the New Inclusive Translation, which is being labelled the politically correct Bible. That alone is enough to condemn it! - For example, the term, “Son of Man” will now become, “The Human One” and, “Father” (GOD) is “Father-Mother”. If anything is cursed of GOD, it is all these repulsive modern perversions.
Controversial “politically correct” version of the Bible published in Germany
Berlin, Nov 9, 2006 / 12:00 am (CNA).- A group of 52 biblical “specialists” have released a new version of the Bible in which inclusive language and “political correctness”
the translation has Jesus no longer referring to God as “Father,” but as “our Mother and Father who are in heaven.” have replaced some “divisive” teachings of Christianity in order to present a “more just language” for groups such as feminists and homosexuals.
Revelation 22:19 “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book”.
7. Truth is subjective. - There is no ultimate truth, hence what is truth for one person may not be truth for another.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
8. Morality is subjective. There is no absolute standard of morality, therefore, no one should ever condemn any act or practice of another.
9. Homophobe Roughly interpreted, homophobe means "fear of homosexuals." Any one opposed to homosexual behavior must be so opposed because of deep seated doubts of their own sexuality. Interestingly enough, no homosexual can ever be a "heteraphobe."
Lutheran Church Sacrifices Bible to Political Correctness
Christianity took another step toward dissolution yesterday as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America decided to accept clergy actively engaging in homosexual depravity.
Our new religion has been destroying Christianity not only through the media's frontal assaults, but also through infiltration from within. Needless to say, a church that accepts what the Bible condemns is Christian in name only.
10. Sexist It is a unique phenomena that no woman, even those who are ardent advocates of 'Women's Liberation" can be considered a "sexist." Only males are capable of this deviant behavior.
Racism Defined: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race 2 : racial prejudice or discrimination
11. Racist Again, only the male, and specifically a white male, will ever be charged with being a racist. No black can ever be a racist even if, like Farrakhan, he advocates black supremacy and separatism!
12. Pro-choice This term is used by those who have made a woman's choice for her. She must not be given any alternative solution to an unwanted pregnancy but termination of the pregnancy. Her only choice is to have an abortion.
13. History is being placed under the rule of subjectivism, so that some are now are advocating that the "Holocaust" never occurred, and want to re-write the history books to reflect this opinion.
Teaching Politically Correct Language
Maryna Tsehelska
The importance of teaching (EFL) students politically correct English is no longer argued. Students who study English as second language today should be aware of the importance of efforts towards inclusiveness and acceptance of diverse lifestyles and ethnicities in English-speaking cultures.
This issue is important for those who want to be able to function in English-speaking academic and business settings. Teaching politically correct language in the English classroom not only provides important information for learners but also gives them an opportunity to become aware of important cultural issues.
Historical roots of political correctness
Politically correct speech became a matter of hot debate in the 1980s, when many native speakers of English became sensitive to biased terms and phrases that exist in the language. In the previous decade, activists of the feminist movement made the first attempts to diminish differences between men and women in society. They criticized the existing language and culture as "male-dominated" and "patriarchal." The history of society, as the feminists argued, was written from the male point of view ("it's HIStory, not HERstory").
The English language was also considered to be full of male-dominating patterns. Utterances like Every teacher plans his lessons referred to teachers in general, and words with the stem "man" (e.g. mankind, chairman) were used to denote both sexes.
Feminists criticized these items as sexist; all patterns referring to men only were called "sexist, old-fashioned language." Sexist language was opposed by "modern non-sexist or inclusive language" that suggested gender equality and neutrality.
Inclusive language suggested avoiding the use of male pronouns in the cases when the gender of a person is unknown. Utterances like Every student has to pass his exams were replaced by phrases such as All students have to pass their exams or Every student has to pass his or her exams.
Today we can even see the phrase Every student has to pass their exams--which violates traditional rules of subject-verb agreement but conforms to new rules of gender neutrality. General terms containing the segment man, such as mankind and man-made, were made inclusive by using synonyms such as humankind and artificial.
Later, the names of jobs and occupations were revised to become sexually neutral. Speakers of English have found new ways to avoid sex markers: flight attendant (since the terms steward and stewardess are no longer used), sales person (salesman and saleswoman have been outlawed), police officer (instead of policeman) and chairperson or chair (instead of chairman) (Zabotkina 1989).

Christianity as a Target of
Political Correctness Craziness
Some examples of political correctness craziness seen in recent times:
Oct. 2006 - British Airways suspends an employee for displaying a Christian cross necklace. See: BBC News: Woman to Sue BA in Necklace Row
Oct. 2006 - The BBC seek raise concerns about Newsreader Fiona Bruce's right to wear a cross while presenting the news. See Daily Mail article: BBC bosses in PC row over newsreader's cross.
An elderly Christian couple were recently interrogated by police because they complained to the council (over the phone) about its gay rights policies. Mr and Mrs Roberts had complained to Wyre Borough Council after reading an article in their local newspaper which explained that the council was set to introduce wide-ranging gay rights policies. Mr Roberts complained to the Council saying that he did not agree with their promotion of homosexuality. When told that it was part of the Council's diversity policy, Mr Roberts asked - in that case - if Christianity could be promoted in the same way and asked if he could display Christian leaflets alongside gay rights leaflets. This was refused on the grounds that it would cause offence to the gay community. But Mr Roberts told council representatives that he was offended by the promotion of homosexuality. The elderly couple were soon visited and questioned by the police who accusing them of making "homophobic telephone calls"! However, it would appear that there has been a clear case of a breach of the couple’s human rights. (More on this here).
As the Christian Institute have rightly pointed out, for the police to get involved with such a matter is surprising. They are going to have to view not only Evangelical Christians as criminals for their right to disagree with the practice of homosexuality, but also the religions of Islam and Judaism, as they too disagree with the practice.
The Daily Mail reported how home office officials are threatening to withdraw funding for a memorial carol service for the victims of crime because it is "too Christian". Even though the service (held at St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square) has been helping grieving relatives of homicide for 11 years now politically correct civil servants are warning that they are going to pull the plug on funding unless the service tones down its Christian content.
The Daily Mail also reported how Inland Revenue staff have been banned from donating to a charity which helps send toys to needy children because of its links to Christianity.
Lambeth council officers have are being careful to use the terms: "Winter Lights" and even "Celebrity Lights" - but have omitted the word Christmas from all promotional literature.
A museum in Somerset changed the dating of its exhibits from B.C. (before Christ) to B.P. (before present), although they say that they did this to make things clearer to people and not for reasons of political correctness.
Birmingham Council renamed Christmas 'Winterval' and Jobcentres banned Christmas trees and decorations.
The Eden Project in Cornwall banned its employers from wishing people a Merry Christmas because the name Christ was in the greeting and it may offend people of other religions.
The Red Cross charity shops have banned nativity scenes from their window displays at Christmas times because they do not want to have any religious imagery on display. Paradoxically, I have personally seen a Red Cross shop with a full on Halloween display in its window. Clearly Halloween is a religious pagan festival. Double standards I think here.
There has been a recent push to try and ban Bible's from hospitals. Leicester health trust in particular has led a push to ban them, claiming the presence of Bible's in hospitals will offend other religions.
Some shopping precincts throughout the UK banned the Salvation Army and other Christian groups from singing carols to shoppers in case they offended other religions.
The common excuse given for banning many of the Christian traditions from our culture is that it will offend other religions such as Muslims, Hindu's, etc. However, it is often revealing to find that most people in other religions are actually not offended. What they are offended at, however, is the charge from others that they might find such things offensive. So who is pushing for all of this politically correct claptrap? The answer to this lies in local councils. When you see examples of such things as listed here why not write to them and ask them to explain themselves?
Where will all this political correctness lead and what will it mean for Christians and religious liberty for the UK in general? Today, the politically correct will be banning Bible's from hospitals, carols from shopping precincts, etc. Tomorrow they will be insisting that churches tear down crosses from their steeples. Further down the line, not being content with trying to eradicate all traces of Christian heritage from our culture, they will inevitably turn their gaze towards all religion. People of all faiths and religions need to make a stand against what is happening. Write to your MP and ask them to address the issue.
Historical revisionists and liberal Bible scholars are trying to apply modern-day values to the Word of God and to historical facts. They remove all of the pieces they don't like. May we be warned: If we continue on this path,
· Our children will not learn the truth about the Word of God or the history of this nation.
Scripture is clear.
In 2 Timothy, Paul warns his young friend to not be ashamed to preach the Gospel, saying: "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths" (2 Timothy 4:2-4).
It is politically incorrect to say that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life-but it is the truth. Only His truth changes lives and unlocks the beauty of our full worth as men and women who are made in His image. Only He can change our hearts so we are able to love our neighbors.
